Bridge Set

The Bridge Set contains the materials for building larger trusses and bridges, as well as a flexible Road Bed and Car for studying dynamic loading as the car traverses the bridge. Containing double the number of I-beams, connectors and screws as the Truss Set, the Bridge Set allows you to go beyond simple structures. The included yellow cord and cord locks serve as cable or cross bracing. The flexible road bed and car provide the opportunity to move from static load analysis to dynamic load analysis as you “drive” the car across your bridge. The included masses are easily added to the car to explore additional scenarios. As with all Structures Systems, Load Cells (sold separately) can be placed anywhere in the structure, allowing you to measure tension and compression forces at that point. The Bridge Set includes a total of 120 I-beams and all necessary connectors.

• Large Deck Truss

Easy to construct!

• Fit the I-beams into the connectors
• Secure the beams with thumb screws
• Thumb screws are also slotted for use with a screwdriver
